Stan Szpytek, FLS
Stan Szpytek is the president of Fire and Life Safety, Inc. (FLS), a consulting firm that provides life safety, risk management and emergency preparedness programs for organizations of all types with special focus on health care, long-term care facilities and senior living communities. Stan is a former deputy fire chief and fire marshal with a Chicago area fire department having served the community for 26 years and honorably retired in 2003. He is also the Life Safety / Disaster Planning Consultant for the Arizona Health Care Association, California Association of Health Facilities (CAHF), Utah Health Care Association and works with several state health care associations around the country.

Melissa Morgan
Melissa Morgan, MSN, RN, CWCN, Clinical Resource Manager for Medline Industries, LP has over 10 years of experience in the post-acute care setting specializing in wound, ostomy and continence along with holding several leadership roles overseeing multiple wound care programs across the nation. In addition, Melissa served as the Co-Chair for the Coalition for At-Risk Skin and as a committee member on the research panel and S3I committee of the NPIAP. In her current role, she supports external and internal post-acute customers with their skin health needs ranging from prevention to treatment and is passionate about promoting a holistic approach to drive quality patient outcomes.

Amy Miller RN, BSN, RAC-CT, CPC
Amy Miller is a registered nurse and certified professional coder with over 25 years of experience in skilled nursing and long-term care. Amy has her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Misericordia University in Pennsylvania and is also a certified resident assessment coordinator.

Hawley Hunt, MBA, MHA, LNHA
Hawley Hunt is the Director of Regulatory and Quality Services for AHCA. Prior to joining AHCA, she was an Administrator for many years in a skilled nursing facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Hawley has a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Management, and a dual Master’s in Health Care Administration and Master’s in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University. Hawley has a passion for the long-term care, especially quality improvement and caring for residents with dementia diagnoses.

Martha Bryan is a management consultant, author, speaker, and seminar leader who speaks nationally and internationally regarding the development of human potential and personal excellence. Marie Coe
Marie is the Nevada State Long Term Care Ombudsman. She is analytical, energetic, and detail-oriented advocate with extensive experience in long-term care advocacy. She advocates at the local, state, and national levels to promote policies and consumer protections to improve residents’ care and quality of life.

Christine Emmons
Christine (Chrissy) Emmons is the Antibiotic Resistance Coordinator for the State of Nevada Office of State Epidemiology within the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health. Chrissy has completed two degrees at University of Nevada, Reno, and is in the process of completing a third, these are: a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master of Science in Toxicology, and is completing her Doctor of Philosophy in STEM Education at the end of this year. Chrissy is also Certified in Infection Control (CIC). Chrissy has taken part in many different research projects over the years, some of note: isolating Mycobacteriophages for host Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Ra; Isolation of bacteriophages against Streptococcus species; whole genome shotgun sequencing of Staphylococcus haemolyticus; isolation and genome sequencing of many different bacteriophages, captured and characterized, for SEAPhages research program that is conducted in collaboration with Truckee Meadows Community College, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and University of Pittsburgh; designing instructional models for course-based research in collaboration with the SEAPhages program; and active learning in the microbiology undergraduate classroom. Chrissy also teaches part-time at Truckee Meadows Community College in the Department of Biology and Public Health; while she enjoys teaching all life science courses, microbiology is her passion.

Jennifer Williams-Woods
Jennifer Williams-Woods is currently the Education Coordinator at Sanford Center for Aging. She has passion for public health and advocacy. She has advocated for residents in long term care settings for over twelve years with the State of Nevada. Now, she is helping those living well with dementia educate and break the stigma associated with dementia.
