The Nevada Health Care Association/Nevada Center for Assisted Living (NVHCA/NVCAL) has a state-approved three-hour cultural competency training course. To date, we have trained over 2,000 employees in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities across the state.

PLEASE NOTE: Several facilities have inquired about using their in-house training for this requirement. Please be thoughtful about trying to get your company’s training approved. It is a very rigorous process and took us over five months to meet the various regulatory requirements specific to Nevada. Because of the lengthy approval process required, we strongly encourage you to use this course to save you time and money.
