Our association staff, board and membership work tirelessly to develop legislative and congressional relationships so our elected representatives understand the importance of protecting long term care. We help draft and pass legislation that helps to address issues that impact long term care.
Members have access to current information and constant communication impacting the operation of their facilities statewide and nationally. The association provides quarterly newsletters and weekly legislative and regulatory updates as those issues arise.
We work daily to monitor existing and proposed regulations with state agencies that regulate our health care staff and our licensed long term care communities. We also work to address issues that arise from survey deficiencies that are applied inconsistently or in a unique manner to your facility. We work hard to develop relationship with our regulators to help you when disagreements arise from issues at your facility.
As a member of our association, you have exclusive access to data and reports that provide valuable insight of developments in the long term care profession from the American Health Care Association.
Members enjoy access to educational programs designed especially for providers and their staff. Our educational offerings are scheduled quarterly with state-required cultural competency trainings offered monthly. Our association has two larger events each year, a Spring Expo and a Fall Convention. Our educational programs are almost always approved for continuing education credits with the Board of Examiners for Long Term Care Administrators (BELTCA), the Nevada State Board of Nursing, and the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB).
