Marie Coe
Marie is the Nevada State Long Term Care Ombudsman. She is analytical, energetic, and detail-oriented advocate with extensive experience in long-term care advocacy. She advocates at the local, state, and national levels to promote policies and consumer protections to improve residents’ care and quality of life.
Melissa Morgan
Melissa Morgan, MSN, RN, CWCN, Clinical Resource Manager for Medline Industries, LP has over 10 years of experience in the post-acute care setting specializing in wound, ostomy and continence along with holding several leadership roles overseeing multiple wound care programs across the nation. In addition, Melissa served as the Co-Chair for the Coalition for At-Risk Skin and as a committee member on the research panel and S3I committee of the NPIAP. In her current role, she supports external and internal post-acute customers with their skin health needs ranging from prevention to treatment and is passionate about promoting a holistic approach to drive quality patient outcomes.
Governer Mark Parkinson
Mark Parkinson is the President and CEO of the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL), which represents more than 14,000 skilled nursing facilities and assisted living centers. Parkinson served as the 45th Governor of the State of Kansas. Prior to that, he was the owner and operator of long term care facilities in
Kansas and Missouri. Under Parkinson’s leadership, AHCA/NCAL focuses on delivering policy solutions to the Hill and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), with a special emphasis on quality care. AHCA/NCAL is now the largest association in long term care and is at record membership.
Parkinson’s vision and leadership has brought him recognition. He has been named a top lobbyist for ten consecutive years (2013-2022) by The Hill, a leading Capitol Hill newspaper. Parkinson also has the distinction of being selected as one of the “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare” by Modern Healthcare in 2015, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Parkinson was also named Top CEO in the small-employer category by The Washington Post 2019 Top Workplace survey, and Top Association CEO by CEO Update in 2013.
Brandon Chuman, Psy.D.
Chief of Neuropsychology
Dr. Chuman is originally from Illinois and moved to Las Vegas in 2021. Prior to working for BHS, Dr. Chuman ventured into graphic design, Crime Scene Investigation (CSI), and even was helicopter flight nurse. He was an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for four years during his undergraduate program. Sidelined by injury while as an EMT, Dr. Chuman “fell into” psychology and took related course which furthered his interest to focus on burnout, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and related careers. He graduated in 2014 from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, CA. and was licensed in 2016. He has been with BHS since September of 2021 and is currently the Chief of Neuropsychology.
Megan Ward | Tara Bowsher
Megan’s academic courses and experience as a patient safety Improvement Advisor have given her a base for data collection, analyzation, and subject matter expertise by providing hands-on opportunities. She has worked with the Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative, a community-based organization, and provided an extensive community health assessment and environmental scan in order to understand the different organizations and data points regarding perinatal health. She has participated in both qualitative and quantitative research, piloting her own qualitative study about adolescent sexual education, and another study that used adaption science to adapt current MAT practices for AI/AN people. Additionally, she has worked as a student research assistant doing data entry, creating contacts, and survey replication for Alaskan Native and American Indian communities. She is currently working as Improvement Advisor at Comagine Health, helping shape healthcare, and improving Long-Term and Post-Acute facilities.
Steve Arndt
Stephen Matthew Arndt (CEO and CIO) is a national information technology consultant, innovator, change agent, and industry leader. He has spent more than 30 years in IT, specializing in healthcare for more than 25 years. He is currently the President of Silver Linings Technology which supports numerous Healthcare organizations. He fully understands the complexities of compliance in the Healthcare Industry. He has spoken at the Lucky Leaf Expo, the Southeastern Hemp & Medical Cannabis Convention, WICE, AFLA, HC100, CALA, and VCPI Client Connection.
Craig Zablocki
Craig’s work with hundreds of healthcare groups and organizations includes the Mayo Clinic, Kaiser Permanente, National Association of State Veteran Homes Administrators, dozens of state long-term healthcare associations, numerous discipline-specific organizations, Oncology Nursing Certification Organization’s National Conferences., National WIC and numerous state WICs, behavioral health, biomedicine, DNV-GL (hospital accreditation), many nursing associations (Oncology, Pediatrics, perioperative…), and social worker associations. The CA Association of Health Facilities, and many others, cite Craig as “the best speaker they’ve ever had”. As a returning, full-day leadership trainer to the Medical University of S.C., College of Pharmacy, Craig has impacted multiple classes of pharmacists.

Kimisha Causey
Kimisha is the Healthcare Acquired Infection (HAI) Coordinator/Counselor for the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health. She is a highly trained and skilled in public health services and infection prevention.

Amy is the Vice President of Education and Certification Strategy for the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN).
Dorothy Sims, RN
Dorothy Sims is a Health Facilities Inspection Manager for the Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance overseeing the licensure and certification activities of medical facilities. She has been with the Bureau for 19 years and worked as a health facility inspector, supervisor, and manager inspecting skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, home health agencies and residential facilities for groups. She graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in nurse and am a licensed registered nurse. She has 25 years of nursing experience including neonatal and pediatric intensive care and case management.
